Arginase is shown as a factory that transforms a jester with his hat (the L-arginine) into the jester without his hat (the L-ornithine) and the hat separated from his head (the urea). A complete detailed theoretical analysis of this factory (L-arginine hydrolysis catalyzed by Human Arginase I) is presented by combining classical molecular dynamics simulations and hybrid QM/MM techniques.
